Backstreet Pop-up Alma Rosa Wine Dinner

Wednesday, June 11

6pm Reception, 6:30pm Seated Dinner

We invite you to join us for an exclusive Backstreet Pop-up wine dinner at Hugo's on Wednesday, June 11, celebrating the legacy of Alma Rosa Winery, founded by California wine pioneer Richard Sanford. In 1983, Richard planted the original Alma Rosa vineyard on the northern slopes of the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County—an area renowned for its cool climate, ocean-influenced breezes, and exceptional terroir. Alma Rosa specializes in Estate and Single Vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, producing just 6,500 hand-crafted cases each year. These wines are known for their bright acidity, lively structure, and elegant aromatics, thanks to the unique geography of the region. We are thrilled to host Samra Morris, Alma Rosa’s esteemed winemaker, who will guide us through each pairing. Samra holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Food & Vinification Sciences and brings experience from several acclaimed Napa Valley wineries. Since joining Alma Rosa in 2019, she has continued the tradition of excellence in every bottle.

Enjoy a thoughtfully curated multi-course menu by Chefs Hugo and Ruben Ortega, each dish expertly paired with Alma Rosa’s expressive wines.
