Santo Tomás Wine Dinner

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2024

6PM RECEPTION - 6:30PM SEATED DINNER

Join us for our Santo Tomás Wine Dinner on Wednesday, September 11! The history of Santo Tomás began over 136 years ago, shortly after the foundation of the city of Ensenada, Baja California. Its original vines were planted for religious purposes in 1791 by Dominican Friars at the Misión de Santo Tomás de Aquino. In 1888, it became the first winery established in Baja California, and was named Bodegas Santo Tomás in honor of the original Mission. Interestingly, Santo Tomás is not in the Valle de Guadalupe like many other Baja wineries; Instead, it is 40 miles south with a slightly cooler climate, which allows the grapes to ripen slowly throughout a long growing season. Now one of Mexico's most successful wineries, Bodegas Santo Tomás produces approximately 125,000 cases of wine per year across 40 different labels. Winemaker Cristina Piño Villar will join us for the dinner. Seating is limited for this event, so purchase your tickets today! ¡Salud!
